Hermès opted for a physical show to highlight its Spring/Summer ’21 collection during Paris Fashion Week and it was one not to be missed.

If you’ve tuned in online (just like us), you would’ve noticed a set that brought depth to the catwalk, courtesy of mirrors and a maze of digitalised columns, therefore an abstract take on Greek ruins.

Depth was another pillar that was experimented further in the collection. Creative Director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski crafted a chorus of defined silhouettes that found its inspiration during lockdown.

Due to the coronavirus, tactility has been taken away from us and for Vanhee-Cybulski, it was the yearning for that human touch that made her translate her emotions in a beautiful pastel-hued collection.

A parade of soft fabrics (the kind you just want to keep on your skin) dominated the collection, silhouettes fell freely on the body and there was a sexiness to the range as there were backless tops, side cut-outs, caged leather, mini dresses and cropped tops.
