Kate Middleton‘s style file has always been flawless (even whilst she’s on a royal tour and due to give birth in the spring). Now, her well-earned sartorial status is going to be put to good use as the Duchess of Cambridge is lending her support to a new sustainability initiative.

With the aim to promote sustainable work ethics and eco-friendly fashion, the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange received the royal seal of approval as the British royal and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, have added the exhibition to their calendars.

Set to take place at a reception in Buckingham Palace during London Fashion Weekthe Commonwealth Fashion Exchange will unite 31 designers and 26 artisans from all over the globe to showcase one-of-a-kind creations (with sustainability in mind) during the week-long event.

Along with the royal family, the project will see the industry’s biggest names support designer’s from their hometowns including Burberry and Stella McCartney for the UK and Karen Walker for New Zealand.
