Each year the British Fashion Council hosts the Fashion Awards to recognise and celebrate the best in British and global fashion talent. The awards celebrate designers, across menswear and womenswear, as well as models, veterans of the industry and rising talents.
This year, Kim Jones was presented with the inaugural Trailblazer Award whilst Vivienne Westwood (who recently teamed up with Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci’s on his first collaboration for the house) was honoured with the third Swarovski Award for Positive Change and Miuccia Prada received the Outstanding Achievement Award for her years of service to the fashion industry.
Gucci, Off-White and Balenciaga’s Demna Gvasalia were also (unsurprisingly) winners on the night and 17-year old Kaia Gerber took home Model of the Year, beating out the likes of Bella Hadid, Adwoa Aboah (who won last year) and Winnie Harlow to claim the coveted award.
