Rihanna teams up with Childish Gambino and Issa Rae for the 2018 Diamond Ball

Could there be a better trio?
Rihanna's Diamond Ball is only one month away, but we've already got some details on what to expect...

Rihanna may be one of the highest-paid celebrities of 2018 but she is also known for her humanitarian efforts and annual fundraising galas. Case in point: the Diamond Ball

Set up in 2012, the musician-turned-beauty mogul started the Diamond Ball to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation to honour her grandparents, and now, the annual gala is in its fourth edition.

Known for bringing together a slew of A-list celebrities (previous editions has seen guests including Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Leonardo DiCaprio) and prominent figures to support the foundation’s programme, the 2018 Diamond Ball will be no different. However, there are two things to keep an eye out for.

Set to take place in just a few weeks, this year’s edition will see a new host and a guest performer.

Announcing the news via Instagram, Rihanna posted an image with a caption that read: “So excited to announce that my sis @issarae is hosting this year’s #DiamondBall in exactly one month!! AND @childishgambino is closing out the night with a special performance! SEPT. 13. NYC.”

The 2018 Diamond Ball is set to take place on September 13 in New York City.
