Kering ranked as the second most sustainable company in the world

Climbing those ranks
Kering has reached another sustainable milestone and we're only 22 days into the new year...

Kering has implemented a strong (and green) footprint focus on its umbrella of luxury labels recently. And as a result, its approach to becoming more eco-friendly over the last year has earned the company a top spot for ‘Most Sustainable Corporation’.

The announcement took place earlier today at the World Economic Forum in Davos at which Kering was ranked the second most sustainable company in the world across all industries in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 Index.

Last year, the luxury goods company (which looks after Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen), made the list but was ranked 47th. Clearly, it’s put some strategies in place to get to the second spot this year.

According to WWD, Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering’s Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of International Institutional Affairs, said: “This reflects our dedication and perseverance to embed sustainability best practices across our business activities and it also acts as a ‘proof of concept’ that a business can achieve financial success while delivering positive social and environmental outcomes.”

This certainly looks to be the future of fashion…
