Just days before their men’s Spring/Summer 2020 show next week, the brand are set to go under some major creative changes.
News just dropped that Humberto Leon and Carol Lim are set to make their departure from the LVMH-owned brand after the Men’s Paris Fashion Week showcase after 8 successful years and will officially be leaving the company on July 1, 2019.
Known for repositioning the brand to a more modern and contemporary fashion house, the creative duo are set to leave their post to focus solely on their other joint business, Opening Ceremony.
According to Business of Fashion, Leon and Lim both made a joint statement and said: “We are thankful to our wonderful Kenzo team and the LVMH group for the opportunity to take forward [founder Kenzo] Takada’s groundbreaking legacy. We are excited to bring so many rich experiences and memories from our time at Kenzo to new frontiers.”
The creative duo’s final show for Kenzo will take place on June 23. Make sure to watch this space!
In the meantime, watch Ermenegildo Zegna‘s Spring/Summer 2020 collection unfold on the runway.
