Michael Jackson is without a doubt one of the most stylish icons and gifted musicians of our time. From his iconic dance moves and fashion choices to moving lyrics and hit singles, his legacy continues to live on after his tragic passing in 2009.
Earlier this year, the late musician’s life was highlighted in an exceptional exhibition that came to life at the National Portrait Gallery in London and in partnership with Hugo Boss.
However, this wasn’t the first time the fashion brand had a relationship with Michael. Their partnership truly started in 1982, when Michael chose to wear an all-white Hugo Boss suit for his Thriller album cover.
And now, courtesy of Hugo Boss, you’ll be able to be a part of the legacy of the King of Pop and own the exact same white suit. Well, sort of.
Hugo Boss has released its latest capsule collection, called Boss x Michael Jackson, and it features 100 pieces of the new version of the suit. Each one is individually numbered and the pieces are crafted from lightweight twill and feature an 80s-style three-button cuff, slim notch lapels and impeccable workmanship — just like the one Michael wore for this album cover.
Also part of the capsule collection is three unisex T-shirts, each featuring iconic moments in Michael Jackson’s career.
Available for both men and women, the first tee features artwork by British artist Graham Dolphin who incorporated statements from the singer’s fans onto the legendary Thriller album cover, whilst the second tee showcases an artistic rendering of an iconic image of Michael and the collaboration logo on the back. Then, the third design highlights Michael’s most iconic dance pose.
