It looks like Selena Gomez needs to hand the Instagram baton to Ariana Grande. Because the Grande has just surpassed Gomez’s IG following making her the most followed woman in the world. Wow. A lofty statement, right?
As of the beginning of this week, Grande has 146.44 million to Gomez’s 146.32 million – Gomez held the title since 2016, though, so she’s had her time in the IG spotlight. Joining them in the league tables is Kendall Jenner who is the most followed model on social media. But the overall star in prime position as the most followed perosn in the world is footballer Cristiano Ronaldo who has around 156 million followers.
Maybe it was Gomez’s brief lapse from IG as she was busy recording her new album (which drops super soon) that let the figures fall? Either way, both girls are on top form with their content game and projects in the pipeline.
