The 2018 Fashion Awards are less than a week away and leading up to one of the biggest nights in the industry, we’ve come to learn of certain designers that will be honoured on the night.
We know that Miuccia Prada will be honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award and already know the full list of nominees.
Now, news has emerged as to who will be taking home the Swarovski Award for Positive Change.
This year the award, once given to Franca Sozzani (in 2016) and Maria Grazia Chiuri (last year), will be awarded to Vivienne Westwood. The British designer has made a positive impact on society, especially with her sustainable efforts.
According to Fashion Network, the British Fashion Council’s Cheif Executive, Caroline Rush, said: “With this special award, Dame Vivienne Westwood will be recognised for being a campaigner for change throughout her career. She has led the way championing humanitarian and environmental issues, and her contribution to British fashion, make her one of the most respected designers in the fashion industry and a great inspiration to us all.”
The 2018 Fashion Awards will take place on December 10, 2018.
