Vivienne Westwood releases film for her F/W ’18 collection

Titled "Don't Get Killed"
Ever the queen of controversy, Vivienne Westwood has just released a video to highlight her Fall/Winter 2018 collection and it's got everyone talking...

Last month British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood announced that she was dropping out of London Men’s Fashion Week and would instead create a film to showcase her newest collection.

That film debuted last night and is titled Don’t Get Killed. It features an army of models pledging their allegiance to the Westwood Army. In the almost three-minute long clip, models wave flags emblazoned with tarot card emblems and the European Union whilst decked out in the brand’s new designs.

The labels’ punk-rock aesthetic is still highly visible though Westwood told Business of Fashion her favourite piece is a princess coat “because of its feminine and masculine qualities.” According to the site, the fabrics used in the collection were “mostly melton cloth and hemp because of their simplicity, raw edges and low environmental footprint” and the colours used reflect traditional army colours, with the inclusion of a hue called Mountbatten Pink which was first introduced in WWII.
