Victoria Beckham might not be attending the Spice Girls world tour, but she is going down memory lane at the moment. The fashion designer who has been at the helm of her namesake brand for over a decade now, has released 11 exclusive dresses inspired by her past.
As part of her S/S’19 collection, Beckham’s 11-piece capsule collection uses silhouettes from the past as blueprints for the designs. The collection sees dresses that can easily be worn from day to night, while others are suited purely for evening soirees – and yes, there’s a definite homage to Posh Spice in the body-con numbers.
Speaking on the collection, Beckham said, “I delved into the archives in the run up to my brand’s 10-year anniversary, revisiting some of my favourite styles and reimagining them for the Victoria Beckham woman today. The collection celebrates where my brand has come from and what we have achieved, and offers timeless dresses for all occasions that blend seamlessly into any wardrobe.”
Well, she’s definitely done a fine job moving from Spice Girl to world class designer – and honouring her past along the way. We salute.
