Last month, news emerged that the V&A will stage the largest Christian Dior exhibition and dates are already set for February 2019, but if you just can’t wait that long, then you’re in luck because there’s another dedicated Dior exhibition that will be taking place in the US later this year.
Titled Dior: From Paris to the World, the exhibition marks the brand’s first major fashion retrospective in the country and is set to take place at the Denver Art Museum (DAM).
If you’re in town, you’ll be able to discover the works of the French maison’s list of artistic directors over the time (which has included some big names like Yves Saint Laurent, John Galliano, Raf Simons and of course, Maria Grazia Chiuri), the story of the couturier, the maison’s work with some of the world’s most iconic faces and how North and South American patrons have influenced the fashion house.
Also, you’ll be able to see 150 breathtaking designs including haute couture creations and accessories, as well as have insight into archival materials, sketches and videos.
The Dior: From Paris to the World exhibition is set to take place on November 19, 2018.
In the meantime, take a look at another museum in the US that will stage an exhibition dedicated to Muslim fashion.
