It’s no secret that Stella McCartney is a solid player in the fashion industry’s sustainability field.
Recently coming together with other fashion brands (including Burberry and H&M) to sign on to address the global plastic crisis, the British designer has just launched a dedicated platform to strengthen her sustainability efforts through her nonprofit charity foundation, Stella McCartney Cares.
Now, the new platform, called Stella McCartney Cares Green, will continue to create a positive change in the fashion industry by inspiring and empowering individuals, students, professionals and businesses across the globe to further embrace sustainability.
Focusing on three different actions, the platform will support ground efforts to protect the environment, will promote topics including materials innovation, sustainable design, circular economy and animal welfare, and influence the next generation of designers to design in a more sustainable direction.
According to Fashionista, Stella McCartney said: “This new platform will enable me to realise a dream I have had for a long time of creating a true open source and empowering the next generation of designers to bring sustainability values into their practice.”
