Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is set to go virtual for the first time next week and we’re all looking forward to it. The digital shows will kick off on July 6th and traditionally, Schiaparelli has the opening slot of couture week.
However this year, the maison will not be unveiling a new collection when it opens to the online public. Instead, new video content featuring Schiaparelli’s Creative Director, Daniel Roseberry, sketching outfits while in lockdown in New York will be streamed on the opening day.
These sketches will eventually be the springboard for Schiaparelli’s upcoming showcase in Los Angeles, and the capsule collection of Haute Couture outfits will be unveiled in December.
This Fall is set to be a busy period for the maison as it prepares to stage an intimate presentation this September to showcase its Spring ’21 ready-to-wear collection, and have plans to dive into online sales with the launch of an e-commerce site.
