In recent years, Pre-Fall has become a major deal for brands. Much like Resort, the in-between-seasons collections have increasingly become big moneymakers which has seen a greater investment in the promotion of the collections. And Louis Vuitton has just showed everyone how it’s done.
Nicolas Ghesquiére has enlisted 17 of the house’s famous friends to model his newest, thoroughly autumnal wares and the result is seriously cool. Stars including Michelle Williams, Thandie Newton (who won a Critics’ Choice Award earlier today for her role in Westworld), Samara Weaving, Chloe Grace Moretz, Laura Harrier and Jennifer Connelly all feature in the Pre-Fall ’19 lookbook. So too do Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner and Alicia Vikander who frequently sport the designer’s pieces on the red carpet.
Speaking of the women featured, Ghesquiére said, “These women embrace the various personalities that embody fashion at Louis Vuitton. Be they stars or new faces, all of them share the same willpower, and confidence in their choices, and at the same time, reflect the eclecticism of the female identity.”
