British actress Keira Knightley is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s heavyweights and a force to be reckoned with in the film industry.
With several blockbuster films under her belt (including some new releases this year such as Colette and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) and the holiday classic, Love Actually, it’s no surprise that her services to drama and charity have earned her an OBE overnight.
Prince Charles presented the OBE to Knightley at Buckingham Palace, who was on site with her parents, Sharman and Kevin William Knightley, as well as her husband, James Righton.
As the face of Chanel, it seemed only natural that Knightley would opt for the French maison’s skirt-suit from its Spring/Summer ’17 couture collection. Chanel’s signature tweed fabric came in the form of a jacket, matching skirt and hat, and her look was then complemented with a white shirt with a black bow, a pink belt, brown lace-up heels and a white handbag.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise however as Knightley’s name made the Queen’s Birthday Honours list earlier this year, and she joins other notable names including Charlotte Tilbury and Jo Malone.
Congratulations Keira!
