Kate Middleton was basically Cinderella at last night’s state dinner

Beautiful in blue
Last night, the British royal family attended a state dinner in London to honour their visitors from the Netherlands...

Whilst the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making their way through Oceania on their 16-day royal tour, other members of the British royal family are spending their time entertaining some important foreign dignitaries. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands are in the UK this week on a state visit and last night a state dinner was held at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the occasion.

The Duchess of Cambridge had her very own Cinderella moment at the event, stepping out in a lovely blue gown by Alexander McQueen (her go-to brand for formal occasions) accessorised with the Lover’s Knot tiara, pearl teardrop earrings an a pearl and diamond necklace. The whole look was quite literally fit for a princess. Kate also wore a yellow ribbon with a portrait of the Queen, known as a royal family order.
