Fashion Forward is the Middle East’s leading fashion platform for new and established talent to showcase their latest designs. Since its inception five years, the platform has operated twice a year in March and October, however 2018 will run a little differently.
It has just been announced that there will only be one edition a year moving forward. The 2018 event will be held from October 24-27 at Dubai Design District, it was revealed this morning.
The new approach will give designers and exhibitors more time to prepare collections, as well as inject a new energy into proceedings.
Bong Guerrero, the CEO and Co-Founder of Fashion Forward said in a statement, “The additional time between events will enable the platform to further evolve as we build upon the new event format launched last season, nurture relationships with exciting new talent, continue to support seasoned designers and re-energise the fashion design landscape.”
It’s a smart move for the platform, likely increasing the interest and availability of international participants in addition to ensuring the next season feels fresher and more focused than ever before.
