Across the years, designer collaborations have produced some incredible collections. Take any of the H&M capsule collections for example, Nike x Givenchy, or the recent regional mash-up of Rami Al Ali and Nadine Kanso. Bringing two minds together, collaborations allow brands to expand their creative limits and invite a new customer base in doing so.
Now, Buro 24/7 Middle East can exclusively reveal that Longchamp has teamed up with Shayne Oliver of Hood By Air to create a seriously cool collection of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories for both men and women. Complete in a palette of white, black, red and baby pink, the pieces expertly fuse the cool, street-ready silhouettes Hood By Air is known for with the elegant heritage of Longchamp.
Focused on travel wear, the collection also features Oliver’s reworking of Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage tote. Of the collaboration, the designer, who worked alongside Longchamp’s Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine, said, “I really like the idea of working with brands that are masters of their craft. Longchamp has a prestigious history of providing luxury travel essentials with expert craftsmanship. It made total sense to work with them on my first all-accessories project.”
Our favourite piece? The baby pink bomber jacket with the brand’s iconic handbag closure worked into the design on the arm.
