Dubai has solidified its reputation as a powerhouse in the global fashion scene. Over the years, Dubai Fashion Week has played a pivotal role in shaping this narrative. Big names like Carolina Herrera and Roberto Cavalli have taken to its runways, while supermodels like Naomi Campbell have walked them. Now, the city is ready to raise the curtain on another season of Dubai Fashion Week, scheduled from February 1 to 6, 2025, at the iconic Dubai Design District. This edition kickstarts the Fall/Winter 2025 fashion month, positioning Dubai as the starting point for the global fashion calendar.
This season, Dubai Fashion Week is pulling out all the stops with a lineup of over 25 designers from across the globe. Expect to see collections from France, Italy, Lebanon, the UAE, and beyond, showcasing everything from cutting-edge ready-to-wear to exquisite haute couture. The diversity of participating countries reflects Dubai’s unique ability to bring together creative voices from every corner of the world.
But the excitement doesn’t end on the runway. As always, the Dubai Fashion Week schedule is packed with private dinners, exclusive collection launches, and industry-led presentations. Global brands and leading figures in fashion will gather for a week of creativity, commerce, and connection, underscoring the city’s pivotal role in shaping the industry.
A key highlight this season is the debut of the Buyers Programme, an initiative designed to elevate designers to international prominence. This program invites buyers and retailers from around the world to connect directly with a curated selection of talent. It’s a game-changing opportunity for designers to expand their reach and tap into new markets while giving global buyers access to innovative collections and exclusive sourcing opportunities.
“The Buyers Programme marks a pivotal step for Dubai Fashion Week,” said Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer of the Arab Fashion Council. “By connecting local designers with top international buyers, we aim to drive sustainable business growth and enhance the global visibility of Arab fashion.”
Applications for the program are open until December 22, 2024, and selected designers will be announced in January 2025. The meticulous selection process ensures that only the most market-ready and innovative brands are featured, setting the stage for meaningful connections between creative talent and industry leaders.
