The mammoth month of fashion shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris revealed the industry’s latest Spring/Summer ’23 collections however, one noticeable name missing from the calendar was Celine. Although never materialised this season, the French luxury fashion house will be unveiling Hedi Slimane’s latest designs via video later this month.
But if you’ve missed seeing the brand on the runway, don’t worry. The brand will be making its return to the runway with its first physical womenswear show since the COVID-19 outbreak. Albeit outside of Paris, the Creative Director has chosen Los Angeles as the ultimate location for his Autumn/Winter ’23 showcase.
Set to take place on December 8, the US was always a source of inspiration for Slimane – Los Angeles, in particular, has long been a creative breeding ground for him as he was based in the city during his reign at Saint Laurent.
Whilst December tends to be a month overflowed with holiday collections and festive launches, there are plenty of fashion experiences to look forward to. For example, Dior is set to present its Pre-Fall menswear collection in Egypt whilst Chanel sets sights on Senegal for its annual Métiers d’Art collection.
