Men’s Milan Fashion Week F/W ’18: Day one highlights

Here's what caught our eye
Now that Men's Milan Fashion Week has started, we're taking a look at some of the most coveted collections showcased on day one...

After bidding adieu to Men’s London Fashion Week and Pitti Uomo 93, the fash pack jetted to Milan this weekend to witness the unveiling of the latest Fall/Winter ’18 collections. While the calendar was jam-packed with shows, there were seven in particular that caught our eye.

Ermenegildo Zegna kicked off Milan Fashion Week on a high note with a couture collection that was presented in a striking snowy show space created by Swiss artist Thomas Flechtner. Moschino followed suit by delivering a punk rock collection, and Marni‘s Francesco Risso took his childhood as a source of inspiration for the brand’s new collection.

Dolce & Gabbana brought the #DGmillennials to the runway at the Rinascente Piazza Duomo Milano this season for its latest collection called King’s Angels. Completely encapsulating the brand’s Sicilian DNA, the collection saw silhouettes finished with graphic prints, florals, animal prints, sequins, jacquard and velvet in a kaleidoscopic colour palette.

“Go big and go home” was Donatella Versace‘s motto for this season’s collection, shown in both menswear and womenswear on the catwalk. Whilst the Medusa print was visible on the pieces, the inspiration was drawn from the intimacy behind the Versace maison.

Diesel Black Gold packed diverse influences from around the globe into its autumnal collection while Emporio Armani stayed true to its signature aesthetics and continued to showcase layering, fine tailoring and sharp silhouettes on streetwear, outerwear and eveningwear.
