If there’s one thing Kim Jones is known for, it’s for merging the worlds of art and fashion, and embracing the art of travel — that was pretty evident in his latest collection where he unveiled an achingly cool monogrammed collaboration with Rimowa (in which he is the face of the brand).
His love for art was extremely obvious in Jones’ Pre-Fall ’19 collection in Tokyo where there was juxtaposition between the past and the future, present in the collection. Plus, the collection was showcased in a super cool setup by Alessandro Garofalo and featured a robot centrepiece that was 11 metres tall.
Now, it seems like the Creative Director is deepening his ties to the art world as he’s heading to Miami to showcase his next Pre-Fall collection. The runway show it set to take place just two days before Art Basel Miami Beach — one of the highlights of the year for art collectors and fashion brands alike.
Also, it’s highly likely that Jones will tap another artist to work on the show so make sure to watch this space.
Dior’s Pre-Fall ’20 menswear collection will be showcased in Miami on December 3, 2019.
