Hedi Slimane is known for doing things his own way. Fresh off his women’s Fall 2023 collection for Celine in December – which is extremely early on the fashion week calendar – the Creative Director is now shaking things up for menswear.
Fashionably late and three weeks after the European men’s show round-up, Slimane will be revealing his men’s collection for Celine on February 10 which is scheduled to take place at the famed Paris nightclub, Le Palace.
Originally built as a theatre dance hall in the 17th century, the legendary location holds a special place in the designer’s upbringing. Slimane would spend most nights during his youth at Le Palace (including his 50th surprise birthday party), and it even triggered his future as a couturier.
Over the years, Le Palace was one of the first nightlife venues that welcomed a plethora of renowned personalities including Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger and many more. For the upcoming men’s show, we can’t wait to see who’ll be sitting front row. Stay tuned.
