Fashion Trust Arabia reveals award finalists

24 emerging designers from across the Middle East and North Africa have been named as the finalists for the FTA 2021 awards...

In some of the most exciting regional news we’ve heard in a while, Fashion Trust Arabia is getting ready for another edition — one with a host of international heavyweights and one that celebrates emerging design talent in the region.

The Advisory Board has selected 24 designer finalists (all emerging talent from the MENA region) for a chance to win one of the 5 FTA Awards and the new Unique Edition Award.

On March 25th, the finalists will present their work to the FTA Jury in Doha, where 6 winners will be announced during the evening’s FTA 2021 Awards ceremony. Similar to its inaugural event, the ceremony will be a fusion of a physical awards ceremony and virtual reality, allowing viewers from across the globe to tune in.

“We received a record number of over 800 applications and had an immense pool of talent this year,” explains Tania Fares, FTA Co-Founder & Co-Chair. “We feel that designers and businesses need assistance now more than ever. I wish all the amazing finalists the best of luck, they are all exceptionally talented.”
