Serena Williams has always exuded confidence both on and off the court — and with her latest gig, it’s no different. The tennis champion has been appointed as Stuart Weitzman‘s new Global Spokeswoman, and she couldn’t have been more fit for the role.
The American shoe brand enlisted the world-renowned athlete to front its Spring/Summer 2020 campaign (featuring strappy mule sandals, heeled pumps and loafers), which was captured through the lens of Ethan James Green.
The campaign is unlike any other as the black and white photographs are a part of Weitzman’s ongoing philanthropic partnership with Vital Voices Global Partnership.
Together, the brand and Williams selected two women-driven organisations to support in the midst of the current pandemic — Sage Ke’alohilani Quiamno, Co-Founder of Future for Us (a platform dedicated to advancing women of colour at work), and Ashlee Wisdom, Founder of Health in Her Hue, (which aims to connect coloured women to health-care providers, services and resources).
Williams now joins Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls and Lily Aldridge as faces of Stuart Weitzman.
