Every brand has a distinct identity. What, according to you, is the Del Core signature?
Our signature is sculptural pieces. I’ve been crafting a unique and strong identity since the brand’s inception, which I believe helps capture people’s curiosity.

What do you think sets Del Core apart in today’s competitive luxury fashion landscape?
I think it’s Del Core’s identity. It is very important for me to tell a story with my clothes. I like to go through my design process in a way that it gives a narrative to the show.

What’s your creative process like when starting a new collection? Do you begin with a specific theme, material, or idea?
Usually, I start with an idea, for example, the scientist for the last show. I then interpret it in a non-literal way in my collections. We start our research from there, which includes images, fabrics, books, and materials. It’s a really creative process, especially when it comes to a show.

Who is the Del Core woman?
The Del Core woman is one with a distinct character and identity. She is looking for something to express who she is and how she feels during the day. She wants to make a statement. I really believe in the personality of people, and this is what makes us different. My client is someone who enjoys being different and having a strong identity.

This partnership with Harvey Nichols marks Del Core’s first physical presence in the region. What drew you to collaborate with Harvey Nichols?
It is about the standard that they have and that they require. I am a perfectionist, and I am very particular about everything. I believe Harvey Nichols gives the perfect launchpad for Del Core in the region.

How do you hope this physical presence will impact the brand’s perception in the region? Do you see Dubai as a pivotal market for the future of Del Core?
Since I started the brand in 2020, we have always had support from, uh, from the region. I just hope that it can grow our presence and impact in the region.

Can you tell us a bit about the collection available at Harvey Nichols? What is the inspiration behind it?
It’s our Fall/Winter 2024 collection called ‘Lissom.’ The concept stemmed from the idea of a chrysalis—starting with something rough, almost grayish-beige. We had chosen olive tones, especially in the beginning with capes. Gradually, as the show began, the capes fell away, layers peeled back, and a new creature emerged. The collection was subtly inspired by insects and butterflies, drawing from the natural world. It transitioned from rough cashmere to vibrant orange and light blue silks, revealing something beautiful beneath the surface.
