Gucci is the latest luxury brand to begin accepting crypto payments...

Fashion is making its mark in the digital world. With a plethora of brands building their online communities and entering Web3, it’s no doubt that soon we’ll be purchasing collections with cryptocurrency. High-end brands – most recently, Off-White – have already begun accepting crypto and Gucci just announced that it will start accepting payments in cryptocurrencies in some of its flagship outlets across the US including Wooster Street in New York, Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and Miami Design District.

According to Vogue Business, in-store payments will be made using a QR code that customers can scan with their crypto wallet, sent by Gucci via email. The stores will accept various digital currencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu.

Gucci is just one of the big names in fashion and apparel entering Web3 where brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Adidas, Nike, Vans, and Balenciaga already have a presence.
