Awards season has officially kicked off, and the 2026 Golden Globes set the tone early. Held at the The Beverly Hilton, the ceremony once again reminded the industry that the red carpet remains fashion’s most concentrated moment of influence.
Chanel’s custom black velvet bustier worn by Selena Gomez reportedly took more than 300 hours to complete, while Versace invested roughly 400 hours into the sculptural white gown worn by Amanda Seyfried. Not every impact moment relied on heritage houses or extreme craftsmanship. Some of the night’s most effective looks worked because they carried narrative weight. Odessa A’Zion opted for a vintage feathered coat from Dolce & Gabbana, reinforcing fashion’s growing comfort with archival dressing.
Ariana Grande brought volume to the red carpet in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown, while Chase Infiniti made head-turning entrance in a sculptural Louis Vuitton bustier gown with mirror appliqué. Miley Cyrus brought the drama and thousands of black sequins as she walked in wearing a spectacular Saint Laurent dress.
The men in attendance didn’t disappoint either. Jacob Elordi arrived in a Bottega Veneta tuxedo, Damson Idris turned to Prada for his ensemble, Glen Powell wore Brunello Cucinelli who put him in a navy velvet blazer with matching trousers, while Timothée Chalamet opted for Chrome Hearts.
