RAMI KADI CLOSES THE NIGHT WITH A COUTURE STATEMENT AT THE EVENT 002.

The Event 002 positioned itself not just as a showcase but as a creative movement. A space where fashion, media, and performance collide to express individuality and spotlight Dubai’s growing role as a global fashion capital.

There is a certain electricity that fills the air during Dubai’s most anticipated fashion moments. It is the kind of energy that tells you something significant is about to unfold. At the second edition of The Event, that feeling was unmistakable. Eleven designers from around the world brought their visions to Dubai, but it was Rami Kadi who stepped in for the finale and delivered a closing showcase that felt both cinematic and deeply rooted in the craftsmanship the region has come to champion.

The runway opened with twin models sweeping through the space in standout creations from the ‘L’Éventail’ collection, instantly setting the rhythm for a show built on structure, movement, and detail. Over the course of 35 couture looks, the Maison reminded the audience why Rami Kadi has become a defining name for contemporary couture. Embroidery, beadwork, sculptural silhouettes, and experimental fabric treatments came together with each look carrying the confidence of a designer unafraid to rethink what couture can look like today. The finale belonged to Emirati influencer Marwa Alhashmi, who closed the show in a luminous bridal gown that drew a collective pause from the crowd.

This edition of The Event, curated by Vincenzo Visciglia and Ahmad Ammar of AAVVA, was designed to spark dialogue between global design and Middle Eastern identity. From AAVVA’s ‘Pietà’ opening, inspired by Michelangelo’s divine artistry, to labels like Dunesi, Zhsaken, Satin, EHO, and Elamins, the night became a survey of how cultural identity and craftsmanship continue to shape the language of couture. Rami Kadi’s finale tied the narrative together with precision.

By the time the final lights dimmed, it was clear why Rami Kadi’s showcase resonated so strongly. It was couture with intention, driven by technique, emotion, and a sense of place. A finale that didn’t simply close the night but elevated it.
