BALENCIAGA & BRITNEY SPEARS COME TOGETHER TO RELEASE LIMITED-EDITION MERCH AND A REMIXED PLAYLIST.

Balenciaga also released Demna's final collection.
Balenciaga’s latest launch merges iconic pop culture and high fashion with a limited-edition Britney Spears collection, exclusive remixes, and Demna’s final line.

Balenciaga is marking the end of an era with a launch that blurs the lines between fashion, music, and cultural memory. On June 3, 2025, the house unveiled the Balenciaga Music | Britney Spears series, which is a limited-edition collection celebrating one of pop music’s most defining figures. This collaboration is a fusion of archival style, personal storytelling, and sound that captures Britney Spears’ unmistakable influence on style and music for over two decades.

The collection features ready-to-wear staples like T-shirts, zip-up hoodies, and silk twill flags adorned with Britney’s autograph and vintage imagery shot by renowned photographers Rankin and Steven Klein. Details like pierced brims on caps and bejeweled studs give the pieces an edgy, collectible vibe, while the aged finishes make each garment feel like a cherished relic from the golden age of pop merchandise. It’s a nostalgic nod that feels fresh, perfectly aligned with Balenciaga’s signature blend of high fashion and streetwear rebellion.

More than just apparel, the series includes a specially curated playlist by Britney herself, offering fans a glimpse into her personal archive alongside songs that have inspired her. This soundtrack lives on Balenciaga’s Music Hub online and across major streaming platforms, creating an immersive experience that connects fashion with music in a seamless cultural statement. Complementing this is the Britney4ever EP by BFRND — the French composer behind Balenciaga’s distinctive sound since 2017 — which includes exclusive remixes of iconic tracks like “Gimme More” and the 25th-anniversary remix of “Oops!… I Did It Again.” BFRND’s music has long shaped the house’s runway energy, making this collaboration a fitting tribute to Britney’s lasting legacy.

While the Britney Spears series captures a moment in pop history, it also signals the closing chapter of Demna’s tenure as Balenciaga’s creative director. His ‘Exactitudes’ Spring 2026 collection, launching alongside the series, is a decade-spanning tribute to the many volumes, silhouettes, and attitudes he has explored since joining the house. This collection revisits over 35 past designs, blending them with new garments and pieces from Demna’s personal wardrobe.

Demna describes this collection as a “homecoming” and a “love letter” to Balenciaga’s loyal audience and creative teams. Drawing inspiration from the photographic series Exactitudes by Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek — which explores fashion as a form of social anthropology — the collection captures the archetypes and recurring motifs that have defined his vision. This retrospective approach makes the Spring 26 line not just a finale but a celebration of creative research and evolution over the last ten years.

To complement the collection, Demna has curated a special exhibition titled Balenciaga by Demna at Kering’s historic Laennec building in Paris. Running from June 26 through July 9, the show offers a deep dive into the house’s design codes, volumes, and attitudes under his leadership. Visitors can experience firsthand the silhouettes and moods that have shaped a decade of Balenciaga, gaining insight into Demna’s unique approach to fashion and storytelling.

As Demna closes this significant chapter, Balenciaga stands at a crossroads, honoring its past while setting the stage for new creative directions.
