Micro bags, statement jewellery pieces and house icons take centre stage at CHANEL’s Spring-Summer 2021 Ready-to-Wear showcase

We’re currently obsessing over the downsized accessories that stole the show. Our personal favourite? The 11.12 purses…

CHANEL is giving us a reminder that big things come in small packages – a chic, CHANEL package no less. For Spring-Summer 2021, Chanel’s Creative Director Virginie Viard, showcased a collection dedicated to her favourite cinema icons and recreated Hollywood at the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées with giant CHANEL letters reminiscent of the iconic sign in Los Angeles.

Whilst the collection was as youthful as it was playful, it was the accessories that caught our attention in a big way.

Set amongst the beautifully cut tweed jackets, asymmetric tops, high-waisted denim and fun dresses were some shrunken (yet adorable) accessories.

For Spring-Summer 2021, the collection debuted the season’s downsized 11.12 purses – one that could be worn in various ways including a necklace, a belt charm or a mini crossbody bag – and although you might not be able to fit anything other than a CHANEL lipstick, their stylishly eye-catching nature has become the season’s new it accessory.

In addition to the micro bags, we spotted a handful of pearl adornments, embellished CHANEL chains, chunky bracelets and blinged-out bags.

Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2021 Ready-to-Wear collections feature accessories that may be little, but they are fierce.
