It seems it’s the day for baby announcements! Overnight, the Dubai royal family welcomed a new member into its fold following the announcement that Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum, the niece of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, has given birth to a healthy baby girl.
Sheikha Lateefa announced the happy news via Instagram writing, “Today God graced my husband and I a daughter who we named: Sana bint Abdullah Al Nahyan. May she grow up to be a person who always strives for good in this world.”
The arrival of their baby girl marks she and her husband’s second child together (they already share a little boy).
Many of the country’s royal family members took to social media to celebrate the happy news with Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed, writing happily, “I’m an auntie again!”
