Louvre Abu Dhabi announces the premiere of ‘On the roads of Arabia’ performance

Taking place next month
A masterpiece of music and motion is making its way to the Louvre Abu Dhabi next month and here's why you need to get your tickets...

When the Louvre Abu Dhabi opened its doors in November last year, it opened up a whole new offering of culturally-enriching experiences and artistic masterpieces to the region.

Now this November (specifically the museum’s anniversary week), it is bringing a brand new experience to the museum that’s set to be one of the most exciting ones yet.

The world-renowned musical and artistic performance, On the roads of Arabia, will be hitting the stage for three days only and will see 80 artists from across the Arab world come together for a 75-minute performance.

Set to tell the story of the history of travel inbetween Arabia’s ancient roads to better understand how the crossroads of cultures led us here, the performance will include music, dance and poetry from the Arabian Peninsula, Africa, Mediterranean, India, Indonesia and China, as well as a calligraphic performance by Koom.

The performance will also be accompanied by an exhibition, Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia, that will highlight the history of the Arabian Peninsula with archaeological and cultural artefacts, as well as a selection of rare pieces from the country.

The ‘On the roads of Arabia’ performance will run from November 8-10 at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, whilst the exhibition will take place from November 8 to February 16, 2019. Tickets can be purchased online or at the museum.
