Earlier this year, Kylie Jenner was unmasked by Forbes as being on track to become the world’s youngest billionaire, ousting Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg from the number one position. Now, she’s found herself on yet another of the magazine’s highest earners lists.
Forbes just released its annual highest earning US celebrities list and Kylie comes in at number five on the list, beating out the likes of golfer Tiger Woods, author James Patterson and rap mogul Diddy. Jenner is tied for fifth place with Jay-Z (who, by the way, “is the biggest dollar gainer amongst existing listees” having added Dhs330.5 million to his personal net worth in the last 12 months) with each estimated to have a personal net worth of USD$900 million (Dhs3.3 billion). Kylie’s inclusion in the list is even more impressive when you consider that the vast majority of her fortune comes courtesy of her eponymous beauty line, Kylie Cosmetics.
Jenner is also one of only two women featured in this year’s top 10, with Oprah snagging the number three spot a Dhs10.3 billion net worth. Star Wars creator George Lucas took out the number one spot with a whopping personal net worth of 19.8 billion followed by Steven Spielberg in third place with Dhs13.6 billion. NBA legend Michael Jordan came in fourth on Dhs6.2 billion.
Interestingly, Kylie’s place on the list was unveiled just hours ahead of she and her famous siblings confirming they will cease operations on each of their individual apps in 2019. The apps have previously been good money-earners for the sisters, however in a statement, Kim explained, “We have had an incredible experience connecting with all of your through our apps these past few years but we have made the difficult decision to no longer continue updating in 2019. We truly hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as we have, and we look forward to what’s ahead.”
