Dubai’s creatives are doing cool things in Purificación Garcia’s new Thinker Program

Cultivating communities
Purificación Garcia's new Thinker Program is a space for regional creatives to flourish...

Dubai is fast becoming a hub for creatives. With more freedom, mobility, flexibility – and not to mention an influx of co-working space, the newly opened Nasab speaks for itself – the city breeds innovation.

Of course when it comes to creative fields, you want a sounding board to bounce ideas of others, because many minds can be astronomically more fruitful than just one at times, right?

And now, Purificación Garcia is thinking along those lines with a new initiative. Aptly named, the ‘Thinkers Program’ the aim is to bring together local talents of the region who are doing small and big things with impact, to cultivate a community of outside-the-box. At the heart of Dubai’s creative scene and now the key members of the PG’s community, are Parvane Barret, Basil AlHadi, Sandra Sahi, Lana El Beik, Hikmat Wehbi and Sleiman Dayaa.

And last week, the gang got together at a workshop in Jumeirah, coinciding with the brand’s recently launched Ori bags which has a foldable design that can be transformed into four different models. Sounds like an artist’s key accessory tbh…
