The 90th annual Academy Awards took place this morning local time in Los Angeles, California with some of Hollywood’s biggest names in attendance, including Margot Robbie, Lupita Nyong’o and Sandra Bullock.
Once the red carpet was over, it was down to business inside the iconic Dolby Theatre as this year’s winners were announced. As predicted, several of this year’s favourites scooped the top prize for their performances including Allison Janney for her role in I, Tonya and Sam Rockwell for his part in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Plus, Jordan Peele made history as the first black man to win an Oscar for original screenplay thanks to this film Get Out.
