Netflix makes history following Critics’ Choice 2021 film nominations

Netflix has made history with four 'Best Picture' nominations at the 26th Annual Critics' Choice Awards...

The Critics’ Choice Association has finally completed its nominations for 2021 following the announcement of its TV and film nominees. Streaming services dominated the nominations with Netflix making history and garnering four of the ‘Best Picture’ nominations. The streaming platform’s Mank earned the most nods with 12, followed by Da 5 Bloods from Spike Lee, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom from George C. Wolfe and Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7.

Set to take place on March 7, the 26th edition of the awards ceremony will be hosted by Taye Diggs for the third time and will be a hybrid event of in-person and virtual.
