If you’ve looked closely at Loewe‘s fall/winter 2018 advertising campaign images, you will have noticed a theme on both the men’s and women’s images. Namely, that both of the models (Stella Tennant and actor Josh O’Conner) are pictured reading books.
There’s a reason for that, of course, and it comes courtesy of the brand’s Creative Director Jonathan Anderson and a collaboration with legendary photographer Steven Meisel (who recently shot Versace’s ultra-long F/W ’18 advertising campaign).
This month, Loewe will release a limited-edition run of six literary classics — Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Dracula by Bram Stoker, Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad and Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert — each of which features cloth-bound hardcovers “featuring special sleeves adorned with iconic Steven Meisel images originally published as part of magazine fashion editorials,” according to the brand. All six are presented in a specially designed box.
The set will be released in select Loewe stores this month, including The Dubai Mall.
