The celeb-approved beauty trend to try this weekend…

Bright, bold and beautiful
It's time to ditch those neutral palettes and take on the bright shades this season. These A-listers are doing it too...

According to Hollywood, it’s go bold or go home this season when it comes to beauty. We’ve seen stellar looks during the start of awards season as well as at fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, and it’s obvious that now, more so now than ever, celebrities and models alike are moving away from neutral tones for the Spring/Summer season.

Whilst it may be true that vibrant hues are a bit more tricky to apply (or you might think it doesn’t go with your outfit), it’s not impossible to incorporate a little eye colour into any outfit.

According to celebrity make-up artist Hung Vanngo (who was in town last month and spoke to Buro 24/7 Middle East during his trip), “a little colour liner in the water line or in the corner of the eyes [is] a good way to start. A little colour goes a long way and makes you look so vibrant and alive.”

If you’re in need of a little inspo, we’ve rounded up some of the best bold celebrity eye makeup looks.

Emily Ratajkowski (who just landed her first fragrance campaign with Paco Rabanne), Olivia Wilde and Bella Hadid turned heads with their bronzed-meets-orange eyeshadows whilst Margot Robbie (the latest actress to be named as Chanel’s new brand ambassador) opted for a subtle canary yellow lid that blends into a light brown just under the brows. And even though Olivia Culpo‘s smokey angular line is in charcoal black, it can easily be recreated in a bright hue for extra impact.

But just where to start? Well, we’ve also rounded up some of the most talked-about eyeshadow palettes in the market right now that will make going bold a breeze.

Kim Kardashian West (who was spotted at the March For Our Lives event) finally teamed up with longtime friend Mario Dedivanovic (who was in the Middle East last year) to create a full beauty collection and the first sneak at the eyeshadow palette was revealed on Instagram a few days ago. Dolce & Gabbana has incorporated a blossoming pink hue in its new four colour Dolce Garden palette, whilst Becca‘s Limited Edition Ocean Jewels Eye Palette will add a little sparkle to your beauty look.

If you’re aiming for a more saturated look, Marc Jacobs Beauty offers an electrifying blue hue in its Beauty Smartorial Palette and Anastasia Beverly Hills offers 14 shades that range from teal, plum, canary yellow and olive.
