Exclusive: The exact products used to create Chanel’s S/S ’19 beauty look

Screenshots at the ready
Chanel held its S/S '19 show in Paris last week and whilst the clothes were beautiful, we were also taken with the beauty look...

It is rare that a runway beauty look is able to be copied perfectly for real-life however the faces at Chanel’s S/S ’19 show were seriously pretty and we needed to know what to use to recreate the look in our own lives. The brand’s Global Creative Makeup and Colour Director, Lucia Pica, is the woman responsible for the beach-ready, barely-there beauty that had us swooning. Speaking of the inspiration, Lucia explained, “They are beach girls but they are still Chanel girls: they are strong but also fresh and joyful. Dewy, glowy and sexy but still perfectly sophisticated.”

Lucia also explained that she applied the brand’s Le Volume Révolution De Chanel Mascara in Noir “really thickly on the top and bottom lashes to give the girls a wide-open eye look” and that the poppy matte lip was the result of applying “Rouge Allure Velvet in Infrarose then layering Poudre Universelle Libre. I repeated this a second time,” she says.

Lucia has shared the exact products she used to get the models’ faces runway-ready from base to brows so you can recreate the look at home. Here’s how she did it…

To create the flawless base, Lucia prepped the models’ skin with the Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux, Hydra Beauty Micro Serum and La Solution 10 De Chanel.

For the face, the brand’s Teint Vitalumiere Aqua was applied, followed by the Palette EssentiellePoudre Universelle Libre was then applied and Le Correcteur De Chanel was the final touch.

The full brows were the result of Stylo Sourcils Waterproof and Le Gel Sourcils.

The softly shimmering eyes were created using Les 9 Ombres – Edition N°2 Quintessence (Spring/Summer 2019 Collection – L’art Du Detail) and Baume Essentiel Transparent (Spring/Summer 2019 Collection – L’art Du Detail) with Le Volume Revolution De Chanel – N°10* Noir (Eyes Collection 2018) completing the look.

The gorgeous glow sported by the models in the faux-beach setting came courtesy of the Palette Essentielle and Baume Essentiel Sculpting (Spring/Summer 2019 Collection – L’art Du Detail).

It was Rouge Allure Velvet N°72 Infrarose (Spring/Summer 2019 Collection – L’art Du Détail) that painted the lips, set with Poudre Universelle Libre.

The nails were painted with Le Vernis De Chanel N°646 Bleached Mauve (Spring/Summer 2019 Collection – L’art Du Detail).

This is officially going to be our new ‘I woke up like this’ beauty reference moving forward.
