It’s a well-known fact that we love gold here in the Middle East. Whether jewellery, watches, phones, G-Wagons, we’re all about a little (ok fine, a lot) of gilding. So imagine our delight upon discovering that Dyson’s newest iteration of its Jen Atkin-approved hair dryer now comes finished in real gold.
23.75 carats of it to be exact…
After years of testing and research, it was determined by the Dyson team that the use of gold was best when hand applied. So, the entire front of the hair dryer has 23.75 carats of gold leaf (sourced from Florence) painstakingly applied by hand by an experienced craftsman.
The rest of the Supersonic is coated in a vibrant cobalt blue hue for added impact.
If you’ve been contemplating getting your hands on one since it’s release, now is the time to go for gold as, according to the brand’s Instagram account, it’s just landed in The Dubai Mall store.
