With good genes and regular exercise, you can keep your limbs looking great. However, with the right products and a little extra care each day, you can accomplish a lot.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PREP
Prepare your legs the same way you do your face by starting with a good skin scrub. It’s good to use crunchy salt and oil scrubs, especially those that contain diuretic Himalayan salt, as they promote the removal of fluid retention. Use the shower head to alternately pour warm (not hot) and cold water over heavy legs, ankles and buttocks, and add salts to your bath (especially Epsom salts) which will help with detoxification. Our tip? Try this for 20 seconds per section and repeat it three times.
PUT IT IN MOTION
Whatever you may use on your legs – whether it’s soap, an exfoliating scrub, body lotion, gua sha or simply, getting a massage – make sure you work in a targeted way. Massage from the knees upward to the hips, after stimulating the lymph nodes (located near the groin and back of the knees) by gently squeezing approximately 10 times. This allows your legs to not feel swollen the next morning, no matter your plans from the night before.
PUSH THE RESET BUTTON
Whilst we all love a good self-tanner, applying it time and time again can damage your skin. So, give the skin a glow and a little freshness with moisturising formulas, especially over the arch of the foot and on the front of the shin with a hyaluronic acid serum as it instantly plumps and moisturizes the skin.
