Perhaps one of his impressive shows to date, Karl Lagerfeld took over the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to showcase Chanel’s new Métiers d’Art collection earlier this month, and it was definitely a show to remember.
With many variations on the iconic Egyptian Cleopatra, models not only dressed the part as they strutted the runway but they looked the part too, courtesy of the brand’s Global Makeup Artist, Lucia Pica.
To create the look, Pica used some of the brand’s signature products from its beauty line. Here’s how to replicate the look at home…
1. Skin
Skin is an important part of any beauty routine. The base was perfected with Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux, Hydra Beauty Micro Serum and La Solution 10 De Chanel.
2. Face
Pica used the brand’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, Le Correcteur de Chanel and Palette Essentielle on the cheeks to create a healthy, dewy glow.
3. Eyes
For the eyes, not all of the models carried the same makeup look. The sleek and very natural-looking eyebrows were created using the brand’s Stylo Sourcils Waterproof and Le Gel Sourcils. On the eyes, there was a mix of white, blue and black. The products Pica used included the Calligraphiede Chanel N°65 Hyperblack, Stylo Yeux Waterproof N°924 Fervent Blue, Les Pinceaux de Chanel Eyeliner Brush, Le Volume Revolution de Chanel and the Stylo Yeux Waterproof N°949 Blanc Graphique (which will be available on shelves from August 2019).
4. Lips
During the show, the lips remained soft and natural with Chanel’s Rouge Coco Baume.
5. Nails
For the finishing touch, Pica used a base and a gel coat on top of the Le Vernis de Chanel N°548 Blanc White.
