Gal Gadot lands her first beauty contract

She'll be fronting Revlon's new 'Live Boldly' campaign
Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has just landed her first ever beauty contract with Revlon. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Though she has been acting for quite some time, 2017 was the year that propelled Gal Gadot to international stardom thanks to her lead role in Patty Jenkins’ blockbuster Wonder Woman. Since then, the actress (who was the highest grossing female of the year) has been in high demand and, as a result, has just landed her first big beauty contract with Revlon.

Gadot will front the brand’s new campaign, titled ‘Live Boldly’, which focuses on the beauty and strength of women across the world regardless of race. On choosing Gal to front the new campaign, Anne Talley, the Global Brand President of Revlon, told WWD, “She’s a worldwide symbol of feminine strength and beauty but she’s also a modern, multi-faceted woman… She’s a strong advocate for women, recognised for using her voice and platform to encourage the entertainment industry to strive for fairness. We really see her embracing her feminine power and what a woman can accomplish with their own special strength.”

Off the back of her appearance at the 2018 Golden Globes earlier this week where she wore black in solidarity to the new Time’s Up initiative, the actress also spoke with the site about how makeup and feminism go together. “Anything that makes you feel more confident, more beautiful and better about yourself has to do with [feminism]. There’s a big misinterpretation about the way people view the term feminism. I have friends — girlfriends — who have careers and they’re mothers and they do it all and they are afraid to say that they’re a feminist. Feminism is not about hating men or burning bras or fighting anyone. It’s about, first of all, equality, and it’s about freedom of choice and I think that in this world we should all be feminists.”

Gadot also touched upon the shift that’s happening, not only in Hollywood, but beyond. “I think especially now with everything that’s been going on in Hollywood, we’re in a beautiful moment and in a very interesting era for women. It truly feels like there’s this cultural change — shift — and I think that’s necessary.”

Beautiful inside and out, who better to front a campaign about the beauty of strength and confidence than Gal?
