As it stands, you can dress yourself head-to-toe in Karl Lagerfeld‘s creations from Chanel, Fendi and his own eponymous label and now you’ll be able to add King Karl’s touch to your makeup bags, too.
The iconic designer has just announced that he is teaming up with Australian cosmetics brand ModelCo on a limited edition collection.
According to WWD, the collection will include more than 50 products and will launch on May 14 across the globe. Some of the products feature busts of Karl himself with his iconic sunglasses and shirt-and-tie combination, and others pay tribute to the designer’s beloved cat Choupette.
Speaking of the collection, Lagerfeld said, “This collection is done for people of any age who may like it – also young people who know about makeup than all of us.” He added that the collection is “very complete and speaks for itself. But for example, I like very much the Lip Light that is innovative and fun.”
The Lip Light product “literally lights up with [an] inbuilt LED light and mirror” and is “an original ModelCo first-to-market creation” according to ModelCo CEO Shelley Sullivan.
The collection will also include liquid eyeliner, highlighters mascara, brow gel, matte lipsticks and glosses.
The Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo collection will be sold in the Middle East at Paris Gallery, The Dubai Mall with more stockists expected to be announced soon. Watch this space!
