HERMÈS ENTERS A NEW OLFACTORY JOURNEY WITH CABRIOLE

An ode to childhood memories
Hermès introduces its first fragrance for children. Here's what to know about Cabriole...

Hermès is already home to a coveted selection of baby gifts. From its signature Avalon blankets to bibs and playful nappy bags, the tastefully-designed collection is one you would want to indulge your kids in. Now, the Maison has launched another delectable creation for little ones: its first perfume for children.

Adding to the Hermès beauty line-up is Cabriole, a scent that is an ode to tenderness and childhood memories. Formulated by Christine Nagel, the director of creation and olfactory heritage for Hermès Parfums, the alcohol-free scent evokes the apricot-like scent of a child’s cheek. This new exploration features notes of velvety osmanthus, fresh honeysuckle and elegant sandalwood, which you’ll be able to spritz over your child’s clothes, cushions, and bath towels (or even yourselves).

“I sought to create a comforting and highly distinctive scented water that signifies the bond between parent and child,” explains Nagel. “I wanted to make a digression, a joyful leap towards a new proposal. Deliberately moving away from orange blossom, I used Osmanthus and honeysuckle to express in a different way the great fondness I feel for childhood, a time of fearless experimentation and insatiable curiosity. This eau de senteur is an invitation to prolong this state of mind, made of play and freedom, for as long as possible.”

The scent comes beautifully packaged in the French house’s signature lantern bottle, which is given an adorable and poetic touch with an illustration by Alice Charbin.

Cabriole is available in selected Hermès retail outlets around the world.
