It was another beautiful red carpet display at this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards with the who’s who of Hollywood in television and film coming out for the 24th annual ceremony.
On the red carpet, we saw an endless stream of gorgeous gowns but the beauty looks caught our eye too. From softly tousled waves (oh hey Margot Robbie) to bold lips (we see you Nicole Kidman) and statement eyes, there was plenty of screenshot-worthy inspiration to take note of.
Don’t have time to endlessly scroll through your Instagram feed this morning to see what we’re talking about? Not to worry, as we’ve rounded up our top seven favourite looks below…
1. Margot Robbie
One of our favourite sartorial looks of the day, Margot Robbie also knocked it out of the park on the beauty front. Hair stylist Bryce Scarlett used Morroccanoil products to create the softly tousled, just-rolled-out-of-bed-and-look-this-good waves, whilst make-up artist Pati Dubroff used Chanel’s Joues Contraste 64 in Pink Explosion, Ombre Premiere 802 in Undertone and Rouge Allure 174 in Rouge Angelique with a swipe of silver glitter from Make Up Forever for her barely-there beauty look.
2. Lupita Nyong’o
Lupita Nyong’o dazzled in a column Ralph and Russo dress at this morning’s ceremony and her makeup was just as dazzling. A pop of pink on her cheeks was complemented by her lip colour, whilst lightly lined emerald green eyes rounded out the look. Her sapphire and diamond drop earrings were a chic touch, too.
3. Nicole Kidman
Make-up artist Molly Stern was the woman responsible for Nicole’s makeup at this year’s event (made all the more exciting by the fact that she scored her first win after being nominated 10 times). To create the look, Stern used a range of Neutrogena products, including the Healthy Skin Blends blush in Rosy, the Hyrdo Boost Plumping Mascara and the Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Velvet Wine.
4. Olivia Munn
The one and only Patrick Ta was the man responsible for Olivia Munn’s gorgeous makeup. One of Hollywood’s top go-to men for makeup, Ta is an expert at delivering camera-ready beauty looks. For this occasion, he complemented her poker straight, middle-parted locks (a favourite style here at Buro HQ) with Chanel’s Lip Pigment in Rosa Tempura (used on the lips and cheeks), Lip Liner in Beige Innocent and Les 4 Ombres In The Colour in Codes Subtil, Lash Couture Faux Mink Lashes by Kiss Products and foundation by La Mer. BRB, just heading to Sephora…
5. Madeline Brewer
It’s not everyday that a natural redhead opts for a bright orange lip but we love that The Handmaid’s Tale actress Madeline Brewer chose such a daring look. Keeping the rest of her face fairly neutral, Brewer completed the look with gorgeous waves and an ear cuff that added unexpected edge. Not pictured here is her pearl-embellished barette that perfectly matches her gown. A+ for accessorising.
6. Allison Williams
There’s not much we don’t love about Allison Williams beauty look at this year’s awards. The wet-look side swept bob? Tick. The killer wine coloured lip? Tick. The lightly sparkling eyes? Tick. Plus, we’re suckers for an ear cuff on the red carpet.
6. Yara Shahidi
Last but certainly not least is Yara Shahidi. Big curls and a bold glossy red lip needed little help to create the actress’ standout beauty look. We love the no makeup-makeup base (created by Emily Cheng) that set the stage for the Nai’vasha Johnson’s mane creation using Taliah Waajid’s Curly Curl Cream.
Now, see who took home the top awards at this morning’s ceremony.
