In the spirit of togetherness and meaningful connections, Italian jeweler Pomellato is unveiling a special activation dedicated to celebrating bonds throughout the holy month of Ramadan. At the heart of this initiative is the Pomellato Together jewelry collection—an emblem of unity, love, and unbreakable ties.
To mark this occasion, BURO attended an exclusive event in the presence of Boris Barboni, Pomellato’s Chief Marketing and Product Officer where we also be sat down with him for an in-depth conversation about Pomellato’s commitment to craftsmanship, the significance of its Ramadan campaign, and the inspiration behind the Pomellato Together collection.

POMELLATO TOGETHER IS A COLLECTION DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE CONCEPT OF UNITY. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT ITS JOURNEY AND THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT?
It’s a very interesting moment because we are right in the middle of the Pomellato Together launch. This collection was born to celebrate togetherness, and it was introduced two years ago with that very idea at its core.
Each piece in the collection is designed to reflect unity. For example, the rings can be worn in different ways—either with the junction visible or with the lines running parallel—symbolizing how relationships evolve and intertwine. The pendants, as you can see, have a playful element to them. Togetherness is a broad concept—it’s not just about romantic relationships but extends to bonds between mothers and daughters, sisters, business partners, or friends embarking on adventures together. That’s what makes this collection special.
POMELLATO HAS CELEBRATED TOGETHERNESS IN DIFFERENT WAYS ACROSS THE WORLD. CAN YOU SHARE SOME OF THE GLOBAL ACTIVATIONS?
Boris Barboni: Yes, we’ve launched Pomellato Together with several friends of the brand. In Korea, we collaborated with a well-known pop band where two members share a deep friendship, which was a perfect representation of our message. We also worked with two Turkish sisters who embody the spirit of togetherness beautifully. But what makes tonight special is that the only physical event is happening here in Dubai.
SPEAKING OF NOTABLE PERSONALITIES, POMELLATO RECENTLY ANNOUNCED PHILIPPINE LEROY-BEAULIEU AS A GLOBAL AMBASSADOR. WHY WAS SHE THE PERFECT FIT?
We are absolutely thrilled to have Philippine with us. She embodies everything a Pomellato woman represents—self-assured, charismatic, powerful. Her beauty is unique; she doesn’t conform to stereotypes, and she speaks to different audiences across various regions. She’s the perfect reflection of our brand’s DNA.
POMELLATO IS ALSO PREPARING FOR ANOTHER BIG MOMENT—THE LAUNCH OF THE POMELLATO FOR WOMEN CAMPAIGN. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THIS YEAR’S EDITION?
Boris Barboni: Yes, March is going to be another exciting month for us. Pomellato for Women has been an important initiative for eight years now. Each year, we work with a different set of friends of the brand, but one constant has been Jane Fonda—she has been with us since the beginning.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness for important causes that empower women. Over the years, we’ve addressed issues like freedom, economic independence, and domestic violence. This year, we have an incredible cast, including America Ferrera—who you might remember from the Barbie movie—and Mariska Hargitay, among others. It’s going to be a powerful campaign.
LET’S TALK ABOUT NUDO—ONE OF POMELLATO’S MOST ICONIC COLLECTIONS. WHAT’S NEW FOR 2024?
Nudo has been a symbol of our brand for over 20 years. This year, our creative director, Vincenzo Castello—who has been with us for 21 years—wanted to introduce some fresh innovation. On one side, he made Nudo even more playful by creating mini pendants and bracelets that can be stacked and combined in new ways. On the other side, he elevated it to the world of high jewelry by introducing statement pieces with large central stones—tanzanite, aquamarine, and tourmaline—cut in our signature style.
The concept behind Nudo has always been about feminine freedom. The floating gemstones without claws, the vibrant colors—it’s joyful, bold, and effortless, just like the Pomellato woman.
LET’S TALK ABOUT POMELLATO’S RAMADAN ACTIVATION. HOW DOES IT REFLECT THE BRAND’S DNA, AND HOW DO YOU SEE POMELLATO TOGETHER RESONATING WITH A GLOBAL AUDIENCE, PARTICULARLY IN REGIONS WHERE JEWELRY HOLDS DEEP CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE?
Jewelry is intrinsically connected to culture, and in many parts of the world, including this region, it’s not just about occasions—it’s a part of life, a reflection of personal identity and heritage. I think Pomellato resonates well with this because our brand was born with the idea of jewelry being designed for self-expression, rather than just decoration for special events. We want people to wear Pomellato pieces because they make them feel empowered, confident, and connected to themselves.
Another key element is our Pomellato for Women initiative, which our CEO, Sabina Belli, launched eight years ago. This program champions women and their achievements, aligning with the idea of honoring personal and shared moments.
For our Ramadan activation, we wanted to celebrate togetherness in an authentic way. The regional team had the brilliant idea of creating a Majlis setting—a space dedicated to gathering and sharing. The concept of togetherness is deeply embedded in Pomellato, and in many ways, it reflects the Southern European values of connection and community, which ties beautifully with the culture of this region.

POMELLATO HAS A BUSY YEAR AHEAD! WHAT’S NEXT AFTER RAMADAN?
We have a very exciting roadmap! The next big activation will be in Korea with a beautiful pop-up, followed by a launch event in Paris—where one of our ambassadors will be present. Then we’ll have a major event in Milan, which will focus on the photographic heritage of Pomellato.
Alongside these events, we’re also rolling out The Art of Nudo campaign, which explores Nudo’s craftsmanship, from gemstone cutting to goldsmithing, and even the art of wearing it—since stacking and personalizing the pieces is such an integral part of its appeal.

So, a lot is happening, and we’re very excited about what’s to come!
