Marc Jacobs and Kim Jones have been weaving in and out of each other’s creative worlds for years. Whether it was their time together at Louis Vuitton or, more recently, at Fendi, their bond is undeniable. To mark the 40th anniversary of the Marc Jacobs brand, Kim Jones–who is currently at the helm of Dior Men–has designed a limited-edition Dior chain necklace that’s equal parts homage and glittery extravaganza. With only 20 pieces up for grabs—priced at 1,500 euros each—it’s a collector’s dream.

The design? Picture bold, balloon-style initials—CD for Christian Dior and MJ for Marc Jacobs—interspersed with crystal pendants. It’s a playful nod to Jacobs’ penchant for theatrics, capturing the era when he made everything shiny, bold, and just a little bit rebellious. 

This isn’t the first collaboration between the two design legends. Their creative paths crossed during their time at Louis Vuitton between 2011 and 2013, where Jones led menswear while Jacobs closed out his chapter as Artistic Director. Fast-forward to now, and their partnership feels like a victory lap of shared triumphs, complete with a glittering keepsake.
